Snorkelling in Sharm el Sheikh is very easy, convenient and arguably the best in the world.

The nature of the reef system is that the corals come up to the low water mark.

Which with a small tidal action of the Red Sea means that it is only about 1 metre below the surface.

By snorkelling close to the shore there you will see deep clear water which is full of colourful carols, and an abundance of different coloured tropical fish.

Tiran island

Go on boat trip to the North East of Sharm El Sheikh  along the Aqaba gulf for two hours till you reach the beautiful blue Lagoon its perfect for snorkelling and swimming its not deep but has beautiful coral reefs and fish.

Then on to Tiran Island on the way back we may get close to the drifted ship Lovilla which got washed up on the reefs in the eighties.

The Tiran Island is an excellent scuba diving spot at Sharm el- Shaikh.

There isn't much free space left at Shark's Bay, but the place is a testimony that heavy tourism can work.
